About Pulau Tiga

Believe to be formed by a volcanic eruption over a hundred years ago, it was essentially unknown to the world until it became a household place name in the U.S.A, much thanks to the reality TV show "Survivor". Also known as Pulau Tiga which when translated means island of Three, this untouched piece of natural playground with a beautiful landscape and a bountiful marine life is now open for discovery and stay.

The Pulau Tiga Park covers an area of 15,864 ha and was gazette as a National Park in 1978. As far back as 1933, the main island, together with the two smaller islands of Kalampunian Besar and Kalampunian Damit were designated as Forest Reserve.

Things You Can Do

Spend the sunny days swimming or snorkeling in its surrounding clear water or go for kayaking. Divers can explore its underwater treasures (diving course are available). Pulau Tiga is also famous for therapeutic natural volcanic mud. Facilities on the island include a restaurant and camping site. 

Tour Itinerary:

DAY 01

Pick up from hotel lobby, journey to Kuala Penyu will take approximately 2 hours. Upon arrival at the jetty, board the boat for another 30 minutes ride to Survivor Island, Pulau Tiga. Check into resort and you are free to explore on your own. You can visit the volcano’s mud or do some island activities.

DAY 02

After breakfast, check out of the resort and proceed to Snake Island before returning back to Kuala Penyu for journey back to Kota Kinabalu.
