| DAY 01 |
SANDAKAN / SELINGAN TURTLE ISLAND |

Pick-up from Sandakan airport (08:00hrs) or hotel (08:30hrs) and transfer to the Sandakan seafront jetty. At 09:30hrs, speed boat departs for Selingan Island, the main nesting area for green turtle, which lies 40km north of Sanadakan in the Sulu Sea off Sabah's east coast. Boat journey is approximately 1 hour. Check into simple accommodation facility and relax by the beach or take up snorkel at the nearby reefs. After dinner, Park Ranger will signal the appropriate time to view huge Green turtles coming ashore to lay eggs. Witness the eggs being transferred to hatchery from the nesting site. Offer help to release baby turtles onto the shore and be overwhelmed by the emotion of seeing the turtles scrambling to the open sea by some natural instinct. Since the introduction of a conservative program in Selingan Island in 1967, a large number of turtles are now returning to lay their eggs and the chance to see the sea creature is almost certain every night. | DAY 02 |
SEPILOK / KINABATANGAN RIVER CRUISE |

After breakfast, depart at 07:00hrs to return to Sandakan. Transfer to Sepilok Orang Utan Rehabilitation Centre (30 mins journey) situated in the Kabili-Sepilok Forest Reserve for video show. Visit the Nature Education Centre and watch video documentary show to learn about the rehabilitation of orphaned orang utan before taking a boardwalk through the lowland rainforest to view the feeding platform. Trek ten minutes through the rainforest on wooden plank walks to witness the feeding of the orang utans at 10am.
Continue the journey (approximately 2 hours drive by land) to one of the world's richest ecosystems Kinabatangan River, Sukau. Journey to Sukau will pass by Oil Palm Plantations and rustic countryside studded with villages (*Option to change journey by boat transfer at a surcharge - 2.5hrs boat ride). Arrive at Kampung Bilit, Sukau jetty. Take a short boat transfer to Sukau Bilit Rainforest Lodge. Time for orientation briefing, a welcome drink and check in. Lunch will be provided in the lodge restaurant.
At 16:00hrs, take a river cruise in search of endemic proboscis monkeys, different species of birds & other wildlife along the river bank. One may also catch a glimpse of a wild Orang Utan, leaf monkeys, gibbons, macaques or the newly discovered “Borneon Pgymy Elephants”. Return for solar heated hot shower and buffet dinner. After dinner, you can go for an optional night safari cruise (at a surcharge) where you can spot nocturnal animals, crocodiles and birds. Overnight at Sukau Bilit Rainforest Lodge. OXBOW LAKE |

Wake up to the calls of gibbons and hornbills at 6am. A morning river cruise up the Kinabatangan River Ox-Bow Lake for bird watching and jungle walking along the trails. Experience the wilderness of Borneo. Cruise back for late breakfast. Free at leisure. Afternoon lunch will be served at Sukau Bilit Rainforest Lodge restaurant.
At 16:00hrs, take another river cruise in the late afternoon to see more wildlife along the Sukau Kinabatangan River Bank. Overnight at Sukau Bilit Rainforest Lodge. (Buffet Breakfast, Buffet Lunch, Buffet Dinner)

After breakfast, proceed to Gomantong Cave located within the Gomantong forest reserve. Upon arrival, 15 minutes walk on the plank walk to the cave. Explore the largest bird's nest cave in Sabah, home to millions of bats and swiflets. The nest of the swiflets are collected for the famous Chinese edible bird nest soup. After lunch, transfer to Sandakan Airport or your respective hotel. Tour ends at 13:00hrs. (Buffet Breakfast, Lunch)

After breakfast, proceed for Sandakan City Tour. Visit various landmarks and historical points in Sandakan, once known as the "Little Hong Kong." The landmarks include:- 1) Puh Jih Syh Buddhist Temple which offers a panoramic view of Sandakan Bay situated on the hilltop Tanah Merah, 2) Sandakan Central Market, the most amazing variety of fresh seafood and agricultural products. 3) The Sim-Sim Water Village where houses are all built close to the water surface while observing the fascinating view of the sea.
After lunch, transfer to Sandakan airport or your respective hotel. Tour ends at 13:00hrs. (Buffet Breakfast, Lunch)

About Sukau Bilit Rainforest Lodge: Situated on the river bank of Lower Kinabatangan River, approximately 2 hours drive from Sandakan Town, the lodge is built on stilts from local hardwood materials and are beautifully designed to blend into nature giving a unique local native ambience in the midst of the tropical rainforest. A boardwalk connects the jetty, restaurant and all the chalets. It offers comfort and peaceful relaxation as well as a base for exploration of the incredible diversity of plant, mammal and bird life at the Kinabatangan region.
Birdlife is especially rich here including eight species of hornbills, kingfishers, egrets, darters, owls, kites, eagles, broadbills, doves, storm storks, herons, hawks, ospreys, falcon, pheasants, parakeets, bee eaters, woodpeckers, pittas, bulbuls, forktails, babblers, warblers, flycatchers, orioles, flowerpeckers, spiderhunters, among others.
A chance to get close with the wildlife of Borneo here including the endemic Borneon pygmy elephant, endemic proboscis monkeys, gibbons, macaques, orang utans, Sumatran rhinos, estuarine crocodiles, wild boars, sun bears and many others.
